Conservatives Drop Further in BBC Poll Tracker

The Conservative Party has lost ground in the latest BBC poll tracker, falling behind the Labour Party by a significant margin.

The poll, conducted by YouGov, surveyed 2,000 adults in the United Kingdom and found that 40% of respondents would vote for Labour if a general election were held tomorrow, compared to 32% who would vote for the Conservatives. This represents a four-point drop for the Conservatives and a two-point gain for Labour since the previous poll in May.

The results will be a disappointment to Conservative Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who has been struggling to boost his party's popularity in recent months. Sunak's approval rating has also dropped, with only 35% of respondents approving of his performance as Prime Minister.

The poll suggests that the Conservatives are facing an uphill battle in the upcoming general election, which is scheduled to take place in 2024. The party will need to find a way to regain the support of voters if it wants to stay in power.
