They have 125 stores in Massachusetts, 100 in New York, and 88 in Connecticut.WEB Stop & Shop is closing some locations, adding to the list of underperforming stores to shutter. Legacy retail chains from Rite Aid to Ahold Delhaize, the Netherlands-based owners of Stop & Shop, Food Lion, and Hannaford, said it will close several underperforming stores. Stop & Shop will be closing underperforming stores, but the company is not saying where or when that will happen.
